We seem to have a hard time keeping everyone up to date with pictures of the kids, and everyone knows that we're terrible with calling and letting everyone know what's new in our lives, so we thought we'd give this a shot! Enjoy!

Taekwondo Champ!

Adam had his first Taekwondo tournament this morning in London. He competed against kids his age with white and white & yellow striped belts in both pattern and sparring. The pattern competition was a little hard to figure out, all of the other kids did a really simple "pattern" of punching and stepping in a circle, and Adam did one that was a series of different kicks, punches and blocks, so we'll have to check with his instructors at his next class to get the low down on what was going on! He was very nervous when it came to the sparring, he kept telling Paul that he wanted to go home, but when it was his turn he got out and kicked butt, and brought home the Gold Medal!!! He seemed to forget all about his nerves after that and now is all set to go for next weekend in Georgetown. We've created a monster!

Spring has Sprung!

It seemed like it was never going to happen but it finally felt like spring around here today! The temperature was up to 14' and it was just too nice to stay inside so we headed out to the swingset when we got home from picking up Adam from school. It was David's first time in the big swing and he loved it. Michael and Adam were digging at the top of the hill for Adam's friend, Jane, a worm he met last year. Not sure if they had any luck tracking her down, but they certainly had fun trying! Hopefully this is only the beginning of the warm weather and we can put the winter gear away for another year.

Happy Easter Everyone!

We spent some time on Good Friday decorating our Easter eggs. Adam and Michael liked dipping them in the coloured water, but didn't have much patience when waiting for them to turn colour. Adam decided that it would be a nice idea to leave the eggs as a present for the Easter Bunny, so on Saturday night he left a note explaining things, and the next morning the eggs were gone! The boys had a great time hunting for their eggs on Easter morning. Michael got a little distracted when he saw the "Mater" truck that the Easter Bunny left for him and Adam found most of the eggs, but since we combined the two baskets at the end of it all, it didn't really matter. David watched everything going on and went for a nice nap after his brothers found the jars of baby food that were hidden for him. After emptying out all of the plastic eggs, Michael and Adam spent at least an hour hiding the eggs over and over again, giving Paul and I some much needed peace and quiet! Thank you, Easter Bunny!

A house full of boys!

There are days when I think I'm going out of my mind with all of the testosterone flying around our house! The sports on tv, toys cars underfoot, noises that seem to come from everywhere, all of the wrestling, it's enough to drive a girl mad. Luckily, there are so many days when they're all just so cute that it makes it all worthwhile!

Kung Fu Fighting

Adam finally did his first test in Tae Kwon Do in March and earned his yellow striped belt. We were pretty nervous for him, he did his pattern so well during class but when it came time to test, he got distracted by the other kids who didn't know it as well and made some mistakes. He made up for it in the sparring though and knocked his opponent down two times. He was pretty pleased with himself when they presented him his belt, and of course had to show off a bit when he got home. Michael couldn't let Adam have the limelight for too long and soon got into the act.
