We seem to have a hard time keeping everyone up to date with pictures of the kids, and everyone knows that we're terrible with calling and letting everyone know what's new in our lives, so we thought we'd give this a shot! Enjoy!

Fab Four

We started off the month celebrating Michael's 4th birthday on the 10th. He's become such a character in the last few months, always monkeying around and being a goof in an effort to make us laugh. I've never seen a child so content to sit on his own and play, either in the sandbox or with his cars, he would've been a perfect only child! Unfortunately for him he has two brothers who love to bug him, and they both know exactly which buttons to push to drive him crazy. He has absolutely no patience and can have a wicked temper if he's bothered or not getting his own way. I'm not too worried about him heading into school this week though, everyone at daycare says they've never seen that side of him before and he's a perfect angel when he's there. Now if I could just figure out why that is, I could try to make that happen at home as well!

Happy Birthday David!

Yes, David's birthday has come and gone...can you believe that he's 2 already??!! Time really does fly by too quickly! He's becoming such an independent boy, his favourite phrases are definitely "me do it", and "no, Mommy". We're working really hard to get him to use his words instead of his high-pitched, full volume scream that he's picked up, and at times he seems to get it! I can't believe how much he's talking, he's stringing so many words together now, and I can understand most of them almost all of the time! His frustration really shows when I can't figure out for the life of me what he's trying to tell me, and that's when he'll just grab my hand and drag me where ever he needs to to get his point across. The "terrible-twos" have begun to rear their ugly heads and we've had some pretty good melt downs, sometimes over something as little as we went up the stairs too quickly! But, usually he's a pretty happy kid, full of smiles and mischief, and he usually has us in stitches over the faces he makes and things that he does. It will be interesting to see how much he changes over the next year!

Wow, it's been awhile!

I can't believe that it's been since the end of March since I've posted on here. Where does the time go???? So, what have we been up to all that time... where to begin! Paul and I finally got to go on our honeymoon (we got married in 1999, so we were a bit overdue) at the beginning of April. We took a week and went to Punta Cana and relaxed in the sun for 7 wonderful days. Mom and Dad were good enough to come down and stay with the boys so that we could go, and the boys loved having a visit with Nana and Grandpa. Unfortunately, our peaceful state of mind didn't last long once we came home and went back to work, we were both ready for another holiday within a couple of weeks!

Shortly after our return, it was time to have Adam's Baptism/First Communion/Confirmation ceremony. His was done a little differently than the other kids since he wasn't baptized when he was a baby, so they do all of the rites at the same time at this age. Seemed a little strange to us, but it's nice since now we don't have to go through the confirmation process when he's in Grade 6, plus he likes having something to brag about with his friends at school since he's the only one who's confirmed already!

Mom and Dad came down for a trip to Storybook Gardens with the kids just before the end of the school year. I took the day off of work and we all headed to London for a very hot day walking around the park, and riding the train and merry-go-round. The kids had a great time, with the exception of David who is not crazy about getting wet and didn't appreciate the splash pad at all!

Otherwise, we've been spending as much time as possible hanging around the house, enjoying the pool (and hot tub if the pool isn't quite warm enough). David won't go in the pool...yet! My goal is to get him in before the end of summer, I'll keep you updated on my progress!!

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone had a great Easter Weekend. Ours was nice and quiet, just the way we like it! The boys stayed in bed until 7:00, and we started our egg hunt at 8:00, so it was a fairly relaxing morning. Once all of the eggs were found, Michael and Adam followed tradition and spent the next hour rehiding all of the plastic eggs on each other, so we had a bit of peace to get some breakfast together. We all headed out for a bit this morning, the boys were going stir crazy in the house so we thought the fresh air would do us all good. Now, the day is winding down and Paul and I are starting to get stuff ready for the work week...why does it seem like even long weekends aren't quiet long enough????

Name that Boy

As I've been going through pictures, I've realized how much alike Michael and David are at this age. Not only in temperment, but also in their looks. I guess I'm going to have to make sure I label all of their pictures, or I'm going to be in trouble in a few years when I'm trying to tell them who's who. See if you can tell them apart...good luck!

Biker Boys

As the saying goes, "When the cat's away, the mice will play", so I shouldn't have been surprised to return from the grocery store one day to find all 3 of my boys sporting new tattoos (washable, of course). Seems they got bored and decided that this was a good way to pass the time. The thing that surprised me (and Paul) the most was that David actually sat still for Paul to put one on him!

Snowed In!!

I'm sure you're all used to how long it takes me to get a post up here, so it will come as no surprise that I'm just now getting around to posting pics of the snowstorm we had a couple of weeks ago. I don't remember when I've seen it snow so much, it pretty much went on all day Saturday (what a waste of a snow day, we didn't get to miss any work), the snow plows didn't make it down our street until the Sunday afternoon. Adam and Michael braved the weather with Paul to shovel, while David and I stayed nice and warm in the house. I'm hoping that this is the end of it until next winter, I can't handle any more of the white stuff!
